Background of Alsworth, Inc.

Alsworth, Inc. was formed in June 1992. Its founder R L Alsworth began his career in the electrical business in 1952 with a young aggressive electrical equipment distributor in Houston. In 1964 He left the distributor business to become involved with the medium and high-voltage equipment sales as a Manufacturers Sales Representative. In 1970 he was one of the primary founders of Smith Alsworth Mitchell, Inc. That company represented some of the most respected manufactures who supply material to the electric utility customers, the large industrials and the large industrial contractors. Mr. Alsworth moved his center of operation from Houston to San Antonio in 1985. He discontinued his association with that company in 1987 and promptly formed Alsworth Associates. The current company is the result of building that organization into the position of representing Manufacturers of Major Utility Power Electrical Equipment.

 LT Alsworth joined the company in 1996. With his background and the experience gained working with our customers he has contributed extensively to the continuing growth of Alsworth Inc. 

We serve the utility type customer with information about our principal companies and their capabilities. Technical information about several product lines that are used in electrical generation, transmission and distribution is available and can be discussed with expertise.

Our principal companies know that after an order is placed for any of their equipment, we will work to assure that the customer is kept aware of the progress of the design and manufacturing his ordered equipment.
